A Portrait of a Doll
This portrait is about a doll named Leila – my favorite doll when I was a child. My grandmother sewed beautiful dresses for her, including a fur coat, and my grandfather made a closet for her unique and stunning wardrobe. I was thrilled by her appearance and loved playing with her, letting her have tea with the cuddly toys, arguing and making up, going on adventures. For the shoot with Leila, I wanted to photograph her as vivid as she had been for me as a child.
